Instead of the polyester film commonly used in conventional metallic yarns,ABIGAIL adopts a coil-shaped construction using nylon film — a premium material that allows free and delicate coloration.
While ordinary polyester film produces a vivid, striking shine, nylon film is capable of reproducing unique, antique-toned colors.

Why Washi Paper
Is Used

ABIGAIL uses washi paper made in Japan.
The washi is placed on the back of the nylon film inside the yarn.
From the outside, you cannot see the paper.
The paper keeps the metallic film in place and makes the yarn soft and flexible.

In early 2025, ABIGAIL BIANCO was added to the lineup.
In this version, the color of the paper is visible on the surface.
This means that the white of BIANCO comes from the natural white of the paper.
